Natural Habitat & Range of the Farfar Shrub:
The farfar shrub is commonly found on the sides of valleys and farms, flourishing in the rocky terrain of Al Farfar Valley and the mountain slopes that encompass it. It also thrives along the banks of Masfout and Hatta's valleys, extending throughout the region from Jabal Al Rawda to Mahad.
Cultivation Areas in Al Ain Zoo:
The farfar tree is cultivated in several areas throughout the zoo, including the Zoo's main entrance, the World Desert, and the Sheikh Zayed Desert Learning Centre.
Traditional uses:
The farfar plant is utilized in various therapeutic applications, including the treatment of stomach disorders and liver diseases. Additionally, its stems are used in crafting local tools such as knife handles and wooden devices for securing and tying luggage on camels.
