Main Entrance
The building's exterior was designed with precision to reflect the environment of Abu Dhabi, so we can observe the colors of the building as it reflects the colors of the Arabian oryx, which was the reason for establishing the Zoo. The similarities between the two are clear, as they are covered in white (light color) from the top, and then it starts to fade into gray and black from the bottom, as these colors helped maintain the coolness of the building and reduce the cooling capacity.
The Courtyard
Our fathers and grandfathers often repeated the phrase "our innovation came from our suffering" where we notice in the old Emirati castles and homes several designs that formed a way to acclimate to nature and the climate, including an inner courtyard called "hawi" and its covered with the house three walls where to be open from the north to allow the Cold air enter the house and this place is considered for the household and their close friends taking in consideration the household privacy. To overlook the interior rooms and their details and we can see this patio in the exterior design of the building where the windows allow the sunlight to enter from different angles and keep heat from getting inside.
